Structure
Current Structure
The original structure of WAD was an Alliance of 13 individual women Co-Founders (2 of whom are no longer actively part of the group). Officially established and registered as a Foundation, WAD has a Board of Directors of between 5 and 8 members. According to the WAD Statute, this Board is elected by consensus, by the Co-Founders, and it elects a Chairman from among its members. The mandate of Board Members is 2 years, renewable with no limit to numbers of mandates.
The new proposed structure includes inviting NNEO members to nominate a representative of the NNEO as an ex officio member of the Board of WAD. The current Board is discussing now this procedure.
